I’m excited to be moving in a few weeks! My new home has potential space for a full dedicated photography studio! It would make it easy to shoot studio head-shots, portraits, and products. It is in Belmont, MA. Easy transportation from several local cities and towns; Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, Watertown, Arlington, Waltham, Medford, Somerville, Lexington, Woburn, Malden, Everett, and Weston! I’m thinking it should have several floor to ceiling muslin drops, full studio lighting, props, etc. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

Well, I just finished updating my website format…and I LOVE it! I hope you also enjoy the new experience and love it as much as I do! Also, don’t forget to check out my Facebook page and “like” my images there. Thank you for your support!
I just purchased three new lenses for my camera! I picked up the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens, the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Wide Angle Lens and the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Prime Lens.
I’m excited about what all of these lenses have to offer. You can see my current equipment (and wish list) at My Equipment. Stay tuned for some amazing photography!
I took some (what I believe are) amazing shots of the Prudential Center in Boston across the Charles River also capturing The Longfellow Bridge during a sunset. I love the old small boat on the short dock in the lower left of the photograph. I also love how the colors of the sunset stand out so well against the blue ice and water.
This photograph was born because I was working late, yes I have a day job, and I noticed the sun was starting to set as I left my office in Cambridge, MA. I grabbed my camera and walked a few blocks to the Charles River. After stopping by my usual spots, I noticed the small boat, dock, bridge, buildings, and it all came together.
I used a long exposure, small ISO (to keep the noise down), and combined two exposures to get the final results. Believe it or not, I do not own Photoshop (yet). I try to only make small edits to bring out the natural colors from my RAW images.
My new logo is done and has been implemented into the site! Now I just need to make a few edits to start using it as my watermark! Let me know how much you love it! That means if you don’t like it…shhhh…it’s too late!
The contest to create my new logo is almost over. At 4:00pm on Tuesday, February 22nd I will have picked and received my new logo design! I’m extremely excited to be able to implement this new design on the website, business cards, and as a watermark.
If you haven’t already looked at and/or voted on the logo concepts, please check it out at: Logo Tournament
Check back in a couple of days and let me know how you like the new logo on the website!
I’m hoping to get a nice shiny new logo that I can use on business cards, this website, and to watermark my photographs.
I just submitted a contest for my new logo to be created at Logo Tournament. You can follow along at: http://logotournament.com/contests/paul_nederhoed_photography until February 22nd at 3:00pm, when the contest ends.
Logo Tournament allows you to receive 50-200 logo designs within 7 days. You pick your favorite and receive the vector image files! It seems pretty simple and straight forward. $400 and I will have a logo I like in a week. Let’s see how it goes!
Update…the first logo isn’t too great, but I’m still optimistic!
